What better way to spend a gentle Sunday afternoon than with a slice of art retreat life! In a supportive and beautiful environment we will start by working through the basic techniques of combining drawing and watercolour- how to layer and create depth with confidence! Then we shall break for a picnic whether rain or shine! We will move tour sights to our surroundings and paint from nature whilst we enjoy a beautiful lunch and glass of wine. Then we shall return to the drawing room and commence painting the female form! Where all our learning and practice will help us create some final key pieces to keep forever. What you’ll take home: • A still life work • 2 finished pieces depicting the female form • New friends and a beautiful experience! What you will learn in my class: • How to develop your drawing skills • How to use watercolour paint with confidence Why i am so passionate about ……….. what your are teaching I hear so many people both familiar and new to me say that they aren’t creative and don’t feel comfortable drawing or painting! I love to watch people release their inner critic and gain confidence within new mediums and learn to be okay with not being perfect! Everything takes practice and having a beautiful, supportive environment to work towards gaining confidence in a new art form is such a wonderful opportunity! Art is the closest we will ever get to seeing the world through the eyes of another- everyone’s creative expression has worth and value and the more time and energy you give it, the more expressive you become. My favourite part of each class is laying out everyone’s work and getting to see the wonderfully unique and interesting ways everyone has perceived and expressed the same subject. I want to foster and help people to grow their creativity as much as possible. Share a bit about how this will benefit the most skilled and most beginner student. This class will provide a beautiful, serene environment in which anyone can create- whether you are an experienced watercolorist happy to create a unique piece of art, or a beginner looking to branch out. We provide support, education and resources for all to learn and grow!
