Service Description

Come spend a beautiful Saturday afternoon at the Canning House Art school with Riana Jayaraj, learning how to arrange and design fruits and florals. We will start by picking the vessel, objects, fruit and flowers we want to incorporate into our still life design. From here, we will arrange these items while learning important floristry and design skills. After this, Bonnie will facilitate a session to paint your wonderful pieces. What you’ll take home: • A cute vessel including your floral arrangement • Paper and paintings I can’t wait to help facilitate a healing and playful afternoon with the flowers. What you will learn in my classes:  - How to create a floral vase arrangement and still life, incorporating design elements including colour theory, shapes and technical floristry skills. - Sustainability practice in the industry - how florists try to manage waste and ways to create in more environmentally friendly ways - How to cut and care for the different varieties of flowers and their botanical names. This workshop suits people from all different skill levels. You don’t need to have any formal training or skills to participate in or enjoy this class. Being creative with nature is so soothing to the soul, people will leave with enough confidence and skills to be able to arrange their own floral designs at home.
