Service Description

Cocoon is a project that is intended to celebrate creativity and collaboration. Cocoon focuses on combining art, music and food. While creating multidisciplinary and experimental spaces that feel safe, inclusive, and all-encompassing. Our overall aim is to facilitate exposure for the artists, chefs and musicians involved in each event and aid in providing spaces to present/sell their works, providing more opportunities for the future. Our event at Canning House Art School will be a little bit different. Instead of focusing on the exposure of a single artist, we want to host a session where we are all the creators. Our key focus on collaboration and sharing in a beautiful space will be funnelled into a night of still-life drawing, fostering low stakes creativity. The drawing will involve interacting with food and sound. A sensual soundscape will be provided and we will be cooking with the ingredients we’re drawing, celebrating fresh produce and yummy food. You’ll be able to leave with a beautiful self-produced artwork! We want this event to be relaxed, low-pressure, silly and fun. With the cooler months upon us, we want to create a cosy and comfortable space to draw, yarn, eat, and drink. We want to stress that we are not artists or teachers, but are just keen to facilitate a night of art for art’s sake. No skill level required! We want you to leave feeling inspired, fed, nourished.
